Kudos to Mike Daisey - whose work I don't know - but who had the poise and grace and courage to deal with this honestly and directly and beautifully in the moment at the moment.
Wow. (Great job finding the video. I'd read about this, but the video makes it much clearer.) I still have no idea what these folks were thinking. His monologue seems fairly innocuous. And it seems so odd that they don't talk to him at all when he tries to engage them.
When I first heard about this, I thought, oh man, this is in Texas or someplace, right? Then I find out it's in Boston, my town. What the heck? I really want to find out more about what happened.
Kudos to Mike Daisey for handling it so well. I'd like to buy him a beer.
